August 28th, 2013The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria, invites applications for four new positions in applied economics for global land use modeling. A successful candidate will further develop an existing global agricultural and forestry sector model, implement, and share his or her work through the publication of results of topics ranging from climate change adaptation and mitigation, to food security and timber markets modeling. His or her research will contribute to the strategic goals of the Ecosystems Services and Management (ESM) Program which include supporting policy makers in the development rational, realistic, and science-based strategies for the management of ecosystems that provide food, feed, fiber, water and energy, within the context of climate change.
